My baby niece Harlow was born in April and I was able to get many things done for her before her birth with the exception of the baby shower. We had a baby shower planned for her mama Stephanie with just our quilting club and some close family but, what we didn't know, was that Harlow would be joining us! We had changed the date a couple of times to ensure that as many of the quilting club and family could be there and thankfully we did because one of the dates that we had in mind would have been when Harlow was still in the hospital. It all worked out and here are a couple of pictures that we took of the big day.

This is the fully finished Gingham Quilt pictured on our trip to Leavenworth. I was able to finish the binding on the road and take some amazing pictures thanks to my husband. He is starting to get the hang of what I am looking for in a quilt picture so I can say that this shot took us about an hour of driving around and parking on the side of the road to get a good shot. The pattern that I used was from Simple Simon and Company and it came together really easily. I used a Diamond Plaid Edge to Edge quilting pattern on my Amara machine.
The fabric that I used was from Rifle Paper Company Cotton and Steel Floral for the back and the dark pink on the front. The light pink and white is a Kona solid. It was so soft and such a great size to cuddle under so I hope that Harlow loves it as much as I do!

This is the hooded towel that I made Harlow! I love this almost the most of any towel that I have done but then again, every time I make a new one I say the same thing. I used gold thread with this one in a zig zag stitch around the letters and she got a set of two to match the ones that I made Scarlett, Harlow's big sister.
