Go Away COVID!

I just got back from a week of an amazing vacation that is quickly turning into "put your running shoes on and let's get back to work." Unfortunately, COVID is going crazy in our little town and my Medical unit as well as the other inpatient units and the ED are taking the brunt of it and it feels like no end in sight. So, to commemorate the time where I thought COVID would be a short term thing I am showing you my very first....and only....facemask that I made a year and a half ago!

I can't remember where I got my sewing pattern from but this one is fairly similar if not the one that I used, https://hellosewing.com/face-mask-sewing-pattern/. I love this mask but I also NEVER want to make one again. I buy in bulk and have given up on having a cute one on my face. In fact, I'm hopeful that the vaccine will allow everyone to not have to wear a mask someday but for now, our town is not doing so hot on getting to that point.

So for now, I will post this facemask and hope to never have to post another thing about COVID from here on out! Wishful thinking some may call it but also this needs to happen so everyone at the hospital can keep their sanity including myself:)
